About this book
David Lannarck, Midget, called An Adventure Story, is by George S. Harney. The blurb says circus life was exciting enough, but young David Lannarck was tired of being stared at and bullied because of his small size. The blurb adds that when a tall Westerner saved his life in Cheyenne, and David and he became friends, the circus midget decided to make his home in the wide open space. With big, rangy Sam Welborn, David started out to become a rancher and live out his days in peace and quiet.
A trailer is unhooked and backed in through a passage laid out by Fisheye, and the little bears are pushed out into a new world. A speaker says the Bar-O ranch is just over the hogback, south of us, with no road, just a trail over the ridge.
