Days of Heaven Upon Earth is a year book of scripture texts and living truths by Rev. A. B. Simpson. The contents list dated entries, among them January 1, January 2, January 3 and January 4. The entry for January 12 takes the words Ask and it shall be given you (Matt. vii. 7) and says we must receive, as well as ask.

The entry for July 3 takes the words Look from the top (Song of Solomon iv. 8) and says our perplexities would become plain if we kept on a spiritual elevation. One entry says Let us to-day attempt great things for God, take His faith and believe for them and His strength to accomplish them. The entry for January 13 takes the words Thou shalt be to him instead of God (Ex. iv. 16), which the text calls God's promise to Moses.

A B Simpson was a Canadian-born Presbyterian minister, author, hymn writer, and missionary organizer whose work helped shape the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Wholly Sanctified grew from sermons on holiness and the role of the Holy Spirit, first issued near the end of the nineteenth century and later republished by Moody Publishers.
