About this book
Dead Ringer is by Lester Del Rey. Jordan tells Phillips it was a nice job of researching and might make a good feature for the Sunday section. Jordan adds that all that nonsense on Blanding would have to be left out, and that the man is just buried.
Phillips answers that it is the key evidence, that they have to move fast and that even one more day may be too late. Jordan asks whether Phillips seriously expects him to get an order to exhume him now, and what it would get them other than lawsuits. Dane has puzzled night after night over what happened to the aliens during the period of regrowth, and whether they revert to their natural form.
