About this book
Dorothy's Tour includes a letter in which Dorothy announces that her concert tour will start in two weeks and asks Alfy to come and stay. Dorothy explains that she will be very busy and needs help getting her clothes and things together, urging Alfy not to disappoint her. Ma Babcock scolds Alfaretta Babcock for crying and asks what Dorothy says in her letter.
Aunt Betty asks whether Dorothy need only prove that she is Dorothy Winchester Calvert to receive an inheritance. Dorothy and Ruth put aside their own discomfort to help other people who are anxious and in distress. The conductor announces that a repair engine has been connected to the cars and says the train may still reach the concert destination in time.
