About this book
Far to Seek, by Maud Diver, carries the words A Romance of England and India. The dedication calls the book an idyll of a mother and son. The author's note says part of the book is set in Lahore, at the time of the outbreak, in April 1919.
A passage describes a crack, a rustle and a shriek from Tara, who seemed to be coming down faster than she cared about. Another passage says books were hurled, no other weapon being handy. A passage says Roy noted, with amused contempt, that Chandranath hastily disappeared from view. A passage says the thought of Arúna sprang up instantly, with her adoration and her exalted passion.
