About this book

Chris Anderson looks at an economy built around a price of zero, where companies earn money while giving much of their product away. The book opens in November 2008, when Monty Python put its video clips on YouTube at no charge and its DVD sales climbed.

From that example Anderson asks how this came about and where it is heading.

Chris Anderson

Two different men called Chris Anderson are listed together here, and the books belong to separate careers. Chris Anderson, born 1957, runs TED. He was a magazine publisher in Britain, made and lost a fortune in the dot-com collapse, bought the TED conference in 2001 and put the talks online free in 2006, which is the decision the entire thing rests on.
