Ireland is The People’s History of Ireland in two volumes, by John F. Finerty. The contents describe Book I as dealing with the story of the Irish People from the Earliest Period to the Advent of the Reformation in the Sixteenth Century. The contents list, among others, chapters titled “The Original Inhabitants of Ireland” and “Territorial Divisions of Ireland”, among others.

A passage says that a man landing in Wales found himself within a short time in the presence of Richard De Clare, surnamed “Strongbow,” a Norman noble who bore the title of Earl of Pembroke. The text says Milesius, or Miledh, had expired before Loci’s return, but that his sons, among others Heber the Fair, Amergin and Heremon, rallied to the call of vengeance and conquest and set sail for Ireland. The text says the bill was returned from England, changed to octennial, or eight years, and that with this amendment it passed the Irish Parliament and received the royal sanction in February of the succeeding year.
