About this book
Mike and Psmith is a book by P. G. Wodehouse. Mike's outlook on life is that of a cricketer, pure and simple. Mr. Jackson tells Mike he is sending him to Sedleigh, and a blank reply calls it an awful hole.
The contents list chapters titled The Fire Brigade Meeting, The Match with Downing's, Achilles Leaves His Tent and Mr. Downing on the Scent. A sudden call makes Mike lose his head, slide rapidly down a pipe and bolt like a rabbit for the other gate. Mike asks the Head, May I go, sir, and the Head answers Certainly, Jackson, certainly. Adair is breathing rather heavily, as if he had been running.
