About this book
Mind Reading, by W. E. Skinner, is labelled as a correct explanation of how to read people’s thoughts. The instructions have the reader tell a person to fix his mind intently upon the spot where the pin is hidden, with the promise that the reader will lead him to the locality. The instructions give the secret of a seemingly supernatural feat: relax the vice-like position of hands, so that he could pull his hand away without much friction.
One short item tells of a man whose gold-bowed spectacles were swept off his nose just as he was reaching the landing. An item on human hair in warships reports that during the last year or two tons of hair have been packed between the plates of a certain part of war vessels.
