About this book
Mother's Remedies is by Thomas Jefferson Ritter. The text says children with adenoids are very liable to colds in the head, and that chronic catarrh is often caused by adenoids. Dr. Ball, of London, England, is quoted as saying that ear troubles in children are undoubtedly, in the vast majority of cases, dependent upon the presence of adenoid vegetation.
A list of subjects with page numbers includes Rocking Baby, Scald Head, Teething, Weaning and Washing Baby. The list also has an entry on Baldness, with Causes and Mothers' Remedies beneath it. The text names Nux vomica, Mercurius vivus and Bryonia alb. as main remedies, and says Ignatia is especially for morose, nervous females.
