About this book
Laurence Housman is the author of the work subtitled A Peep-Show in Paradise. The introduction says the play was originally intended to form part of Angels and Ministers, and was separated on an after-thought as a concession to those who do not like to have their politics and their religion mixed. The front matter says the work was first published in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies only for sale Oct. 1921, with a Popular Edition in Jan. 1922.
The description of the room says it is over-upholstered but the happy possessor of some good things. Laura tells Julia that Martha's temper has got very queer, and asks, “Julia, am I difficult to get on with?” Martha says she has given a reasonable answer, and wishes the Judgment Day would come, and the sea give up its dead.
