About this book
Quaker Hill is a sociological study by Warren H. Wilson, submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Political Science, Columbia University, New York 1907. The contents list gives Part I as The Quaker Community, from the Settlement of Quaker Hill, 1728, to the Division of the Meeting, 1828. Part I lists chapters on Amusements, The Ideals of the Quakers and Morals of the Quaker Community, among others.
The text calls the Hill a conspicuous plateau, very narrow, extending north and south, and says a road six miles long runs upon the crest of the height. The text says that since 1849 this population has become increasingly heterogeneous, and that it is not yet a blended stock. Appendix C is a package of deeds of Oblong M. M. properties, discovered 1906 by William Ryder, of Brewster, N. Y.
