In one passage a drum with a hole in it rolls past, and Mrs. Horton says she will mend it with court-plaster while Sunny Boy asks what slip-covers are. In another, Sunny Boy takes brown paper from Grandpa's desk to make a kite and forgets what his mother told him about touching other people's things. In a third, he takes Grandpa to the place where he and Daddy went fishing, and takes off his shoes and stockings to go wading.
