About this book
The Biography of Robert Murray M'Cheyne is by Andrew A. Bonar. A preface describes the deeply spiritual life story of the young minister of the Gospel of St. Peters Church, Dundee, Scotland, Robert Murray M'Cheyne, who died in 1843 at the early age of 30.
The text gives a fragment of verse entitled The Righteous Perisheth, and No Man Layeth It to Heart, that speaks of a grave where no stone of woe is there to show the name. One letter says the writer is glad that the reader has determined to trust all in the hands of Israel's God, and asks them to pray for us, that we may be sent of God. Another writing resolves that the speaker ought to pray far more for the church, for leading ministers by name, and for clear guidance in the right way.
