About this book
The Eye of Wilbur Mook is by H. B. Hickey. Wilbur Mook's mother calls to him to get up or he will be late for work, and he comes out of his beautiful dream. Wilbur looks into the mirror and sees, at twenty-five, firm, healthy-looking skin, with only one thing wrong with the picture: he had the soul of a rabbit and was a coward.
The text says Mrs. Mook had discovered that anything stronger than warm milk disturbed Wilbur no end. Merlin produces a wand and a packet from inside his flowing gown, and out of the packet drifts a fine white powder into the kettle. Pete Bellows roars at Wilbur as he comes through the door: Mook! You're late!
