About this book
The Play That Won is by Ralph Henry Barbour. Daniel Webster Jones, Jr., arose phenomenally early the next morning and, having attended chapel and eaten a hearty, if hurried breakfast, might have been seen entering the popular hardware emporium at eight o'clock. Jonesie had a free half-hour at ten-thirty and, returning to his dormitory, glanced across to the second floor of Manning and was filled with gratitude.
Billy watched Arthur anxiously, his heart racing and jumping, with two on and two gone. Terry's plan that was adopted had the others carry Phil between them as best they might, with a bicycle taken to Pearson to bring the doctor back. The text says Terry is not likely to forget that ride down the side of Bald Mountain even if he lives far beyond the allotted age of man.
