About this book

The Quest of Iranon is a work by H. P. Lovecraft. A youth, vine-crowned, with yellow hair glistening with myrrh, wanders into the granite city of Teloth. The youth says he is Iranon and comes from Aira, a far city that he recalls only dimly but seeks to find again.

The text describes the men of Teloth as dark and stern, dwelling in square houses. At sunset Iranon and small Romnod go forth from Teloth and wander for long amidst the green hills and cool forests. A speaker says there was never a marble city of Aira, or those who could delight in strange songs, save in the dreams of an old playmate, Iranon, who is gone.
