About this book
The dedication to Samuel Morley, Esq., M.P., says that much of the religious life of London is due to his unexampled activity and munificence, by no means confined within his own denomination. The introduction says that man is undoubtedly a religious animal, and that in England at any rate the remark holds good.
The book says a man who was born in 1744 and died in 1837 was to the last only Bishop of Norwich. The book says that on the 27th of May, 1808, Lord Granville moved for the House of Lords to resolve itself into a committee to consider the petition of the Irish Catholics. The book says that Sabellius, who maintained a Trinity not of divine Persons but of successive manifestations under the names Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, was one of the chief Patripassians.
