About this book
The Rushton Boys at Rally Hall, or Great Days in School and Out, is by Spencer Davenport. The contents list gives chapter titles such as A Rash Impulse, The Runaway and Andy Shanks, Bully, among others.
Boys had howled with delight at the sight of the "old plugs" of Jed's horses rearing up into the air, but the laughter stopped suddenly when they saw that the joke might end in a tragedy. Fred, alone of all the boys, had seen the danger from the first, and had thought of the hill that lay before the runaways. Fred suggests going down to the gymnasium to have it out, but Andy pretends not to hear. Professor Raymond saunters up to a little group made up of Fred, Teddy, Billy Burton and "Slim" Haley.
