The Three Musketeers
Young, hot-headed d’Artagnan rides to Paris in 1625 with little more than a letter of introduction and a hunger for glory, and within a day he has picked fights with the three best swordsmen in the king’s Musketeers. Athos, Porthos, and Aramis soon become his brothers in arms, and together they cross swords with Cardinal Richelieu, the treacherous Milady de Winter, and half the intriguers of the French court. Dumas turned real seventeenth-century history into pure momentum, all loyalty, wit, duels, and narrow escapes, and gave the world the cry of one for all and all for one.
