The Witches

The Witches by Roald Dahl is a children’s classic about a young boy and his Norwegian grandmother who happen to be at a hotel where the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children turns out to be a cover for an actual coven. The book is funny, frightening, and Dahl at his sharpest.

Children love it. Adults reread it. Anjelica Huston starred in the famous 1990 film adaptation.
