The account describes a visit to an ordinary Tibetan stone hut belonging to a family in comfortable circumstances, with walls of bare, untrimmed stone and crevices stopped with earth against the wind. The visit describes entering from a yard into a half-dark room with a mud floor and two openings in the roof through which smoke escapes and daylight enters.
The traveller records turning over household utensils and making an inventory in both Swedish and Tibetan. The journey account records a departure north-westwards along the upper Indus on November 9, 1907, after thanks to Thakur Jai Chand and the other Hindus for their kindness.
