About this book
Warren Commission (05 of 26), Hearings Vol. V, is a volume of hearings before the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy. Mr. Belmont says that agents are using good judgment in the matter, and describes information sent to the Secret Service in the field as placed in a control file that is subject, under instructions, to inspection by inspectors visiting field offices.
Senator Russell asks Mrs. Oswald whether, the day before Lee told her that he fired at General Walker, he seemed to be under great emotional stress, strain, very tense, and Mrs. Oswald answers that he was angry and excited. Mrs. Oswald also says she did not notice any difference in Lee's attitude during that morning from any other day. Mr. Coleman asks Mr. Chayes whether his judgment is that Oswald had not expatriated himself in 1959, and Mr. Chayes answers yes on the basis of the record that he has in the file.
