The hearings concern the investigation of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the subsequent violent death of the man charged with the assassination. Mr. Glover describes his knowledge of Russian as very limited, while saying he has started studying the language in connection with scientific work and has long wanted to learn it.
Mr. Glover is unsure of the details of the visit, allowing that he might have been invited to dinner or might simply have come over. The testimony describes a letter apparently addressed to the Socialist Workers Party requesting information about its nature and policies. The testimony identifies a letter from the Socialist Workers Party to Lee H. Oswald indicating that a pamphlet was being enclosed.
