About this book
Wireless Telegraphy and Telephony Simply Explained is credited to Alfred Powell Morgan. The full title calls the book a practical treatise embracing complete and detailed explanations of the theory and practice of modern radio apparatus and its present day applications. The title page lists the writer as editor of the mechanical and electrical department of the Boy's Magazine and as author of Wireless Telegraph Construction for Amateurs, etc.
The text says whistling, certain musical tones, and words containing many vowels are sometimes heard in the receptor with sufficient distinctness to be recognizable. A figure caption in the text reads De Forest wireless telephone equipment. The text says the mast used to elevate the aerial is of light steel construction divided into eight sections which nest into one another.
