Los siguientes testimonios fueron recogidos con el propósito de conocer las relaciones establecidas entre empleados y objetos en el interior de las salas. Durante dieciocho meses, la comisión realizó entrevistas a todos los empleados preguntándoles acerca del modo en el que se relacionaban con las salas y con los objetos contenidos en ellas. Mediante la reproducción exenta de juicio alguno de dichas declaraciones buscábamos conocer el proceso de trabajo en el lugar e investigar las posibles influencias a las que los empleados hubieran podido verse expuestos, así como de qué manera tales influencias, o acaso relaciones, producían cambios permanentes en los empleados, y si podía afirmarse que ello comportaba una disminución o un aumento del rendimiento de los trabajadores, mayor compenetración con el trabajo, adquisición de nuevos conocimientos y cualidades, además de las consecuencias que había supuesto para la producción.
