Aimie K. Runyan
Aimie K. Runyan centers women’s experiences in historical and contemporary fiction. She previously taught French to high-school students, with additional classes in English, public speaking and competitive forensics. Daughters of the Night Sky follows women serving in a Soviet flying unit during the Second World War. Across the Winding River links a daughter’s investigation of her father’s wartime past with events in Europe in 1944. Runyan’s other historical novels include Girls on the Line, The School for German Brides and A Bakery in Paris. The Memory of Lavender and Sage marked her move into contemporary fiction while preserving her interest in family history and place.
