Anna Robertson Brown Lindsay was a writer whose essays joined ethical reflection, education, and Christian social thought. Culture and Reform appeared under Thomas Y. Crowell published the latter work in 1893, and library records identify it with the subject of conduct of life. Lindsay later wrote The Warriors, a longer study that continued her interest in faith, universities, work, and social responsibility.
