Bronte Aurell is a Danish food writer, entrepreneur, and cofounder of the ScandiKitchen cafe and food business in London. The ScandiKitchen refers to her cookbook more fully published as The ScandiKitchen Cookbook, a collection introducing everyday Scandinavian food through more than eighty recipes. The book moves from morning buns and open sandwiches to salads, hot dishes, cakes, and festive baking, presenting shared regional habits alongside ingredients associated with Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Aurell’s work grows directly from the cafe she established with her husband, Jonas, and from her experience explaining Nordic food to British readers. She has extended that subject through Fika & Hygge, ScandiKitchen: Christmas, ScandiKitchen: Summer, and a later book on smørrebrød. Her writing treats recipes as part of daily culture, connecting practical instructions with seasonal customs, balance, hospitality, and the social ritual of taking time for coffee and cake.
