Connie Schultz's experience as a newspaper columnist and campaign spouse shapes . . . and His Lovely Wife. Random House released the memoir in 2007, with a paperback following in 2008. It follows Schultz during Sherrod Brown’s 2006 campaign for the United States Senate, recording the demands of public events, press attention, a blended family, and her temporary departure from column writing. Schultz had won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for her work at Cleveland’s Plain Dealer.
