David Hieatt

Hieatt co-founded a clothing company, sold it, and then started a denim business in Cardigan in west Wales, a town that had made jeans for decades until the factory shut and four hundred people lost the work. The new company employs some of the same people. Do Purpose belongs to a series of small British books arguing that a company needs a reason beyond profit, which is far easier to write than to run, and he has done both. He also runs an annual gathering for people trying to start something.
