Eileen Dreyer
Eileen Dreyer moves between contemporary suspense and historical romance, and she also publishes romance under the name Kathleen Korbel. A member of the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame, she has produced over thirty books. If Looks Could Kill belongs to her standalone suspense work, while Barely a Lady opens the Drake's Rakes series. Set around Waterloo, Barely a Lady brings Olivia Grace face to face with Jack, the former husband who left her disgraced. She finds him unconscious in an enemy uniform, and his missing memory forces them to pose as a married couple while they uncover political intrigue. The two titles show Dreyer using suspense in different periods, with secrets and trust driving both the danger and the relationships.
