Eve Chase

Eve Chase writes family mysteries and is the author identity of journalist and novelist Polly Williams. Her fiction moves between past and present, using houses and landscapes to uncover secrets carried across generations. The Daughters of Foxcote Manor, released in Britain under the title The Glass House, connects a family's 1971 retreat in the Forest of Dean with a later search for answers. The Birdcage reunites three half-sisters at their father's Cornish home, where memories of the 1999 solar eclipse complicate their return. Chase's earlier novels include Black Rabbit Hall and The Wildling Sisters. Penguin Random House reports that her work has appeared in twenty languages.
