Harriet T. Comstock
Harriet Theresa Comstock (1860–1943) was an American novelist and children's author who published steadily through the early decades of the twentieth century. She was known for popular romantic and regional fiction, often set against rural, coastal, or wilderness backdrops, with titles such as Joyce of the North Woods and A Son of the Hills. Her books appeared with established houses including Little, Brown and Company and reached a broad magazine and book readership of her day.
