Stanley Rosenberg
Rosenberg is a craniosacral and structural integration therapist rather than a physician, and his book on the vagus nerve applies Stephen Porges's polyvagal theory to a set of hands-on exercises for the neck and the eyes. It sells very well among bodywork therapists and among readers with anxiety or gut trouble. Polyvagal theory is itself contested: several neuroscientists have published detailed objections to its evolutionary claims, and the specific exercises in the book have not been trialled. He trained originally in theatre and works in Denmark.
