Allan Quatermain
Allan Quatermain is H. Rider Haggard’s sequel to King Solomon’s Mines, published in 1887, and the last recorded adventure of his famous hunter and explorer. Grieving the death of his son and weary of settled English life, the ageing Quatermain sets out once more into the African interior with his old companions Sir Henry Curtis and Captain Good, along with the great Zulu warrior Umslopogaas. Their journey leads them past hostile tribes and a hidden river to Zu-Vendis, a secret and civilised kingdom where the travellers are caught up in a war between two rival queens. It is one of the founding books of the lost-world adventure. This free PDF and EPUB gives the complete novel.
