About this book
Bahá'í World Faith is a text by ʻAbdu'l-Bahá. The text says the official representatives of Írán brought their influence to bear upon the Turkish authorities and succeeded in having Bahá'u'lláh banished from Constantinople to Adrianople. The text says the sultan of Turkey banished Him to the prison of Akká in Syria. The text says that inside prison walls He wrote epistles to all the kings and rulers of nations summoning them to arbitration and Universal Peace, and that Napoleon III of France did not reply.
The text argues that the spirit is different from the body, as the bird is different from the cage. The text includes words addressed to the true Protector and the Lord of the Covenant, asking that this Lamp be protected from the severe winds.
