About this book
Garment Cutting in the Twentieth Century is by Günther F. Hertzer. A verse dedication headed To Mother speaks of twenty years of devotion and of training eight children. The text says the angle of 15 deg. will fit the normal form at the arms, at the largest part of the seat, at the side of the thigh, and the front of the chest.
The text instructs to cut forward from the under arm and sink the forepart waist seam 1½ at the plumb base line and the same at the front edge. A writer says some cutters require that the pants maker hold the back full on the top of the in-seam, and that he has seen others who require the fore part stretched.
