Aylward Edward Dingle

Aylward Edward Dingle (1874–1947) was an English-born sailor who turned decades of hard experience into fiction. Born in Oxford, he spent roughly twenty-two years at sea and was shipwrecked five times, including twelve weeks marooned on the subantarctic island of St. Paul.
