About this book

Lister's Great Adventure is a book by Harold Bindloss. The contents show a Part I headed Barbara's Rebellion and a Part II headed The Reckoning. Chapters under Part I include Cartwright Meddles, Barbara Vanishes and Winnipeg Beach.

Barbara says that Mortimer is a stick and that he and Grace have a calm superiority that makes one savage now and then. Cartwright tells Barbara that Shillito is gone, that he went by the car this morning and that it is unlikely he will come back. Cartwright says that Ellen did not buy the shares and that Seaton bought them when shipping was good. Terrier steams slowly across the lagoon one night when the moon and tide are full, with two massive ropes trailing across her stern and Arcturus' high dark bow towering above her phosphorescent wake.
