About this book
Marigold Garden is a book of pictures and rhymes by Kate Greenaway. A verse addressed to "You little girl, You little boy" says it sends the offering of this book. In the rhyme Susan Blue, a speaker asks Susan Blue for a walk and names the meadow where the cowslips grow. In the rhyme Blue Shoes, Little Blue Shoes mustn't go very far alone, else she'll fall down or lose her way.
Street Show calls all the little boys and girls to come and see the show, and has the Cat run up the tree. At School has five little girls sitting on a form, with lessons to learn. One rhyme names Fairy Blue Eyes, Fairy Brown and dear little Golden Curls, and says "Till some happy day We meet again!"
