Morning and Evening Prayers for All Days of the Week is a little manual of prayers credited to Johann Habermann. The translator's preface says the little manual of prayers, offered to English speaking Christians in their own language, has long been one of the treasures of the German people. The title page says the volume comes together with confessional, communion, and other prayers and hymns for mornings and evenings, and other occasions.
A prayer headed A Birthday Prayer begins by thanking the Father in heaven from all the heart. One prayer says that in the morning the Lord will hear the speaker's voice, and adds, Early will I praise Thee, and will not cease when evening comes. A hymn headed Gott des Himmels und der Erden addresses God, Who madest earth and heaven, as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Who the day and night hast given.
