About this book

The boy who refuses to grow up flies into the Darling children's nursery one night and carries Wendy, John, and Michael off to Neverland, a place of mermaids, fairies, lost boys, and the vengeful Captain Hook. What begins as a children's adventure of pirates and make-believe carries a quieter ache beneath it, the cost of never growing up and the childhood that parents and children both must lose. Barrie first brought Peter to the stage in 1904 and expanded the story into this novel, published in 1911 as Peter and Wendy. It has enchanted generations while hinting at something bittersweet. This free PDF and EPUB edition presents the full story.

Available edition: text of Project Gutenberg eBook #16. The cover is an original BDeBooks design. The PDF has 142 pages; the EPUB is reflowable. Project Gutenberg credits and license are kept.
