About this book
A line under the title and author of Satellite System by H. B. Fyfe says there's nothing like a satellite system for a cold storage arrangement. George Tremont floats himself out, and the text describes the cabin as a ninety-degree wedge of a cylinder hardly eight feet high. Tremont hooks a foot under a toehold facing a mirror, considers the deals he had come to Centauri to put through, and tells his image that dealing in ideas is a funny business and asks whether you can really sell a man's thoughts.
Tremont tells himself that it was no chance, anywhere along the line, and that he has been very neatly highjacked. The text says Braigh had never explained exactly what he was doing on the satellite. Tremont says it is all the same story and explains his difficulties, and the patrol captain frowns and expresses a wish to lay hands on the highjackers.
