Sky Island by L. Frank Baum gives the further exciting adventures of Trot and Cap'n Bill after their visit to the Sea Fairies. The contents list names chapters titled, among others, The Magic Umbrella, The Island in the Sky, The Six Snubnosed Princesses and The War of the Pinks and Blues.

One half of Sky Island is described as no larger than the Blue Country, being no more than two miles square, yet with several hundred inhabitants. The text describes a Sunrise Tribe in the eastern half of the Pink Country and a Sunset Tribe in the west half, with great rivalry between them and sometimes war. Trot says they have to straighten out things in Sky Island first of all and that a Queen has some duties.

Lyman Frank Baum was an American author best known for his children's fantasy books, particularly The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, part of a series. In addition to the 14 Oz books, Baum penned 41 other novels, 83 short stories, over 200 poems, and at least 42 scripts.
