About this book

The double-crossing of Dobie is a work by W. C. Tuttle. The byline names W. C. Tuttle as author of The Domestication of Dobie and The Color of His Boots, among others. A letter from Pyrites, dated June 1, is addressed Dear Hank, and its writer says his town is only about seven miles from Mesquite City.

The narrator says a man bought out the Manzanita stage line and took the narrator in cahoots with him. The narrator says that he and Bedrock have clean minds over it, which is a rare thing for men who sell mines. The narrator says Bedrock met Archibald, and he went over to the Palace and horned into a poker game. A man identifies himself as Pete McCoy, a U. P. detective, and says that Dynamite Carson is now in Deer Lodge Prison.
