About this book
The Knights of the White Shield is by Edward A. Rand and is dedicated to Ken and the Other Boys. The contents include Making a Club, The Grand March, For Sunday-School Scholars, an Offer and The Pammerrammer, among others. Sid says there ought to be a sentinel to look after the door and not let any down-townies up, and Jugurtha Bonaparte Jones, called Juggie, answers yes.
The president asks what shall be the name of the club, and a long discussion follows. The club resolved that each member should pay a cent a month. John Fisher comes running up and says that a wreck is down at Gull’s P’int, so some one told him.
