About this book
The Mob is a play in four acts by John Galsworthy. The list of persons names Stephen More, Member of Parliament, Katherine, his wife, and Olive, their little daughter. More says that big ones could let little ones alone, and Mendip says that if they could there would be no big ones.
Sir John says he has served his country fifty years and says she is not in the wrong, and More answers, "I hope to serve her fifty, Sir John, and I say she is." Home tells Mr. More in a strange, almost threatening voice that it won't do, and asks him to give his word to hold his peace. A flung stone crashes through one of the panes, a hoarse shout of laughter follows, and a second stone crashes through the glass.
