About this book

The Moon Maid is a sweeping science fiction adventure by Edgar Rice Burroughs, published in 1926. It carries the reader from a future war between Earth and the Moon, through the discovery of a strange civilisation and monstrous races inside the hollow lunar world, to a later age in which the descendants of the survivors struggle to free a conquered Earth from cruel invaders. Spanning generations and worlds, it joins Burroughs's gift for headlong action to a darker vision of war and tyranny. For lovers of early space adventure, it is a rich and ambitious tale.
