About this book

Us, An Old Fashioned Story is by Mrs. Molesworth. The contents list, among others, gives chapters called Bread and Milk, Babes in a Wood and A Boat and a Baby. A character called Duke begins, "We came, Grandpapa and Grandmamma, to wish you good-night," and Pamela adds, "And to hope you will bo'f sleep very well."

The text names Diana as the best-looking of the younger gipsy-women, and says she was thoroughly up to all the tricks of fortune-telling. The text says Mrs. Twiss knew that Duke and Pam would be terribly against the idea of going back to the town and to the police office.
